Issues for Students and Professors

I thought I would pass on a picture of me in a tshirt that was given to me by someone who works in the Gender Institute here at Moi.  Apparently, there are a lot of different problems with grades at universities in Kenya, despite efforts to make changes.  Faculty tend to be poorly paid, and students stress heavily over grades, leading to the sentiment expressed in the picture below.  I can only say, however, that no students have come to the mzungu geography professor and offered any favors.  But I think it is interesting that there is enough that goes on at universities here--and maybe elsewhere--to warrant the sentiment on the shirt below.
