Visiting Nairobi

These posts are slightly out of order now, but I wanted to put up some pictures of us in Nairobi before continuing on to the Mara.  We had a good time in the capitol, and saw a lot of the city with our guide Sammy, who is a bit of a legend around the city, famous for taking good care of visitors.  And he took good care of us.

Here Joel and Evan are at the overlook where Evan and I were on our first full day in Kenya.

I really think Joel and Evan were glad to be together again.

One of the places Sammy took us was a Masai market/souvenir shop.  It was a little overpriced, but they let Evan dress up in the Masai warrior garb and act like he is going to take out a lion.

And Joel the same.  The stay in Nairobi was uneventful, we stayed in a beautiful hotel, the Fairview.  It was nothing like the Kenya that Evan and I experienced.  We never stayed in anything that nice.  After that we headed for Eldoret on a shuttle, traveling like Kenyans, to Eldoret to pick up for the safari to Masai Mara.
